DOCTOR JOBS IN BRITISH COLUMBIA

Doctors Positions in BC Available Today

Are you a doctor living in BC or planning to relocate to this province? This might be just the best decision you have made in your life!

British Columbia is the western coastline province of Canada, and BC residents usually say that this place is the closest thing to Heaven you can find on Earth. Mild climate, beautiful nature, clean ecology, and amazing people—these are only the main benefits of living in BC. And then comes the ocean, the best cuisine in Canada, close proximity to the USA (most of the big cities are located within a short drive of the US border), and many more perks. British Columbia also has the second-largest British expats population after Ontario, and appears to be the favorite place for immigrants from the UK.

And what is it for health professionals? The number of hospitals in BC is relatively small; however, the population of this province is rapidly growing, and there is a great demand for physicians and medical experts, especially in Vancouver, Abbotsford, Victoria, and other major cities. In 2022 BC government came up with a few initiatives, and the quotes for doctor positions are growing all the time.

In 1987 a large blue whale washed up on Canada's Northern shore on Prince Edward Island. The province’s government and the Canada Nature Museum arranged for the whale to be taken and buried to preserve the skeleton for further research. It was not until 2007 that a team dug the skeleton up and the process to remove it from its burial location in eastern Canada across 6000km and the western side of Canada began. It took a few years to degrease, clean and assemble Big Blue, she went on exhibition in 2010, and you can visit her at The Beaty Biodiversity Museum in Vancouver. Definitely worth a visit, at 26m long Big Blue is only one of 21 large blue whale skeletons in the world that is on display.
